Former Gophers coach Jerry Kill has some strong feelings about P.J. Fleck

It's really been no secret that former Golden Gophers football coach Jerry Kill doesn't exactly have the fondest feelings towards current head coach P.J. Fleck.

P.J. Fleck did come out of the Jerry Kill coaching tree, but seeing the way that the two parties have parted ways over the past few years with some very public comments, it's more like a father figure who has disowned his son nowadays than it is a proud mentor and mentee.

Earlier today, Jerry Kill joined Sirius XM B1G Radio and shared some of those poignant thoughts about Fleck, not mincing words along the way.

“He coached with me, but after that, you know, he changed a lot; I’ll just be honest with you guys,” Coach Kill told the Sirius College Football crew.
“I helped him get the job at Western Michigan, and I just think sometimes the ego gets carried away...When he went into Minnesota and treated the people the way he treated my guys and telling them he had to go in and completely change the culture, and it was a bad culture and bad people. You know, he made it sound like we didn’t know what we were doing. And I took it personal."

Kill shared that the two did discuss those comments and Kill's feelings about them over the phone but will not speak again, seemingly ever.

"It will be the last time,” Kill said of the conversation. “Do I still root for the Gophers? I do. Do I enjoy him running up and down the sidelines? No. Do I think that he’s about the players? No. He’s about himself.”
