Is Lucasfilm planning a Star Wars Lando Calrissian movie? | KFAN 100.3 FM

Man, doesn't it seem like Donald Glover rules the world right now?

He's everywhere. His T.V. Show  Atlanta is hotter than ever, the new Childish Gambino single "This is America" is the talk of the world and he's starring in the soon to be released Star Wars movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story.

But is Glover about to expand that world dominance further out into the galaxy...maybe a galaxy far, far away?!?

Speaking to Premiere France at the Cannes, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy had this to say...

"We think that the next spinoff will be dedicated to Lando Calrissian. Of course, there are still many stories to tell about Han and Chewbacca, but Lando will be next.”

That'd be pretty sweet as early reports from reviewers who have screen the movie or seen scenes from the Solo film are reporting as expected that Glover shines as the galaxy's most infamous double crosser.

Shortly after the original article was posted and the Internet was set abuzz, Lucasfilm reached out to Premiere to clarify a misunderstanding saying...

"We would love to tell a story about Lando Calrissian one day, but it's not relevant, it would be fun to tell the story of Han and Chewie."

They're backpedaling and covering their tracks here. It might not be the next one but there will be a Lando movie coming down the chute before we know it.
